Dr. Winnie Tang, the Honorary Professor of the Department of Computer Science at HKU led a team of volunteers to develop and maintain a webpage for the HKSAR Government reporting the latest status of Coronavirus Disease (COVID-19) cases in Hong Kong, and providing the latest news and videos, health tips and other useful information related to COVID-19 in eleven languages for reference by residents of different nationalities in Hong Kong.
Dr. Tang came up with an idea of having a clean and neat tool to communicate the most updated situation of COVID-19 to the citizen of Hong Kong, and the Government invited her to be the coordinator and executor of this project.
Dr. Tang is the Chairman and Founder of Esri China (HK) Ltd, and the Founder and Honorary President of Smart City Consortium.
