Congratulations to Professor Reynold CK Cheng on his promotion to Professor and Dr Zhiyi Huang to Associate Professor with Tenure with effect from March 1, 2020 and August 1, 2020 respectively. Their promotion signifies the University's recognition of their outstanding performance and accomplishments in their academic and research work.
Professor Cheng received his BEng (Computer Engineering) and MPhil (Computer Science and Information Systems) degrees from HKU, and his MSc and PhD degrees from Purdue University. He re-joined our CS family as a teaching staff from 2008.
Dr Huang received his PhD degree from the University of Pennsylvania, and was a postdoc at Stanford University before joining HKU in 2014.
