Two Year 4 Engineering Undergraduate Students Won the Hult Prize at South East Asia Regional Final

Two Year 4 undergraduate Engineering students, Sagar GUPTA (studying Computer Science) and Sidhant GUPTA (studying Computer Engineering), won the Hult Prize 2019 at the South East Asia Regional Final in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam on April 6-7, 2019.

Their team first entered and won the challenge at HKU campus in Janurary and competed with 47 other teams from all over the world at the South East Asia Regional Final in Vietnam. They won with a proposal named "EmployMe", which is a platform that uses an SMS chatbot to help workers find meaningful jobs and helps companies find a reliable workforce. They have a system of review and verification to allow both sides to rate and confirm their work history.

For the next stage, Sagar and Sidhant will be working with the Hult Prize startup accelerator at Ashridge Castle (UK) in August.
