CS Students Won "Best Board Game Award" at Global Game Jam HK 2016
Two BEng(CS) Year 2 students, Lo Hon Nam, Edison and Yiu Lok Yan, Serena, formed a team with their friends to participate in the Global Game Jam held at Cyberport from January 29-31, 2016. Their creation, "Final Ritual", was awarded the Best Board Game at the event. This game is designed for 4-6 players who will be competing in the roles of different priests. Those who can complete their rituals first will win.
This event is a 48-hour theme-based game development challenge for teams to experience a full game development cycle from ideas to testing. Globally, the jam has a reputation as a creative platform for professional and beginner game developers to create innovative games in a limited time frame. Many such games are further developed into commercial products or successfully inspire new ideas in the industry.
