HKU Symposium on 3D Printing for Education

Over 100 people from the education sectors, NGOs and industry participated in the "HKU symposium on 3D Printing for Education" which was held on May 5, 2015 at the Department of Computer Science of the University of Hong Kong (HKU).

It was commenced with a keynote talk on "3D Printing: from Imagination to Reality" by Professor Ligang Liu (University of Science and Technology of China), followed by presentations by Mr. Henry Yeung (HK3DPrint), Mr. Albert Wong (Chairman, Association of I.T. Leaders in Education), and Dr. Hongbo Fu (City University of Hong Kong (CityU)), and panel discussions led by Dr. Chun-Kit Chui (HKU), Dr. Kening Zhu (CityU) and Dr. Yan Gao (HKU) with Professor Wenping Wang (HKU) and Dr. Eric Liu (Vocational Training Council) as the facilitators.

The symposium also sparked lively discussions and sharing of views and expectations on the development of 3D printing technology for education in Hong Kong.
