(Tertiary Student Project Category)
Congratulations to our BEng(CompSc) Year 3 student, David Lau Kin Fung and his teammates, Jaime Lau (HKU Mechanical Engineering graduate) and Douglas Tse (HKUST Computer Engineering student), for winning the Tertiary Student Project Category at the 18th Asia-Pacific ICT Alliance Awards (APICTA Awards) held in Guangzhou from October 9-13, 2018.
The winning project, "Tale", is an A.I. presentation coach for users to practice presentation at any time and anywhere. "Tale" assists users to tackle problems encountered when presenting, provides professional guidance and prepares users to deliver an organized presentation with skills and confidence. "Tale" justifies a presentation in terms of verbal and non-verbal communication, using technology to help users to improve their presentation skills.
David is currently in his sandwich year working in the industry. He shall resume his final year of study at HKU in September 2019.
