Dr. Heming Cui, Mr. Jianyu Jiang and Five CS Members Received Outstanding Paper Award at 2017 Annual Computer Security Applications Conference (ACSAC) Dr. Heming Cui, Mr. Jianyu Jiang and Five CS Members Received Outstanding Paper Award at 2017 Annual Computer Security Applications Conference (ACSAC) Dr. Heming Cui and his second-year PhD student Jianyu Jiang together with five HKUCS students/graduates/staff received the Outstanding Paper Award at 2017 Annual Computer Security Applications Conference (ACSAC) held on December 4-8, 2017 in Florida, USA.
The title of the winning paper is "Kakute: A Precise, Unified Information Flow Analysis System for Big-data Security". Jianyu Jiang was the first author of this paper with Shixiong Zhao (PhD candidate), Danish Alsayed (BEng(CS) graduate), Yuexuan Wang (Honorary Professor), Heming Cui (Assistant Professor), Feng Liang (PhD graduate) and Zhaoquan Gun (Postdoc Fellow) as co-authors.
This year, 48 out of 244 submissions were accepted by ACSAC, and 2 out of the 48 papers were awarded as Outstanding (Best) Paper.
