Prof. T.H. Tse Receives Best Paper Award from COMPSAC 2009
with Prof. T.Y. Chen and 2 CS PhD Students

Mr. Bo Jiang, Mr. Zhenyu Zhang, Prof. T.H. Tse, and Prof. T.Y. Chen received a best paper award from the 33rd Annual IEEE International Computer Software and Applications Conference (COMPSAC 2009) for their paper entitled "How well do test case prioritization techniques support statistical fault localization". COMPSAC is officially designated by IEEE Computer Society as its signature conference on software technology and applications. It was held in Seattle, WA on July 20–24 this year.

Mr. Jiang and Mr. Zhang are PhD students under Prof. Tse's supervision. Prof. Chen is with Swinburne University of Technology, Melbourne, Australia.

This is the third time that articles by Prof. Tse and his colleagues have been evaluated as best papers by COMPSAC. A paper entitled "Debugging through evaluation sequences: a controlled experimental study" by Zhenyu Zhang, Bo Jiang, W.K. Chan, and T.H. Tse was selected for a best paper award by COMPSAC 2008. Another paper entitled "Testing context-sensitive middleware-based software applications" by T.H. Tse, Stephen S. Yau, Heng Lu, and T.Y. Chen was evaluated as the best paper in COMPSAC 2004.
