Postgraduate Studentships will be awarded to all qualified full-time MPhil and PhD students as determined by the Board of Graduate Studies. The studentship is tenable on an annual basis (around HK$157,200 per year) and renewable upon the conditions in the Regulations Governing Postgraduate Studentships. The maximum period of award is 2 years for MPhil candidates and 3 years for those in the 3-year PhD programme, or 4 years for those in the 4-year PhD programme. A separate application for Postgraduate Studentship is not required.

Additionally, there are a number of scholarships available to outstanding postgraduates.
