Web Accessibility Gold Award for Website of HK Society for Rehabilitation Revamped by Prof. T.H. Tse and Team of AIDA Project
The main website http://www.rehabsociety.org.hk/ of the Hong Kong Society for Rehabilitation (HKSR) has been selected for a Gold Award in the Web Accessibility Recognition Scheme 2016 jointly organized by the Office of the Government Chief Information Officer and the Equal Opportunities Commission.
HKSR provides various responsive and quality rehabilitation services for people with disabilities, chronic illnesses and problems in ageing. The HKSR website has just been revamped by Prof. T.H. Tse, Mr Albert So, and their team of the AIDA project.
The Recognition Scheme 2016 has also selected the main website of The University of Hong Kong for a Triple Gold Award. Prof. Tse served on the working group for this website when it was revamped in 2012.
Prof. Tse is an honorary professor in computer science after retiring from his full professorship in July 2014. Mr So is the honorary general secretary of AIDA and a research assistant of our department. AIDA is a knowledge exchange cum social enterprise project that promote IT consultancy services by people with a disability. It is supported in part by the General Research Fund of the Research Grants Council of Hong Kong (project nos. 717811 and 716612).
