Dr. Heming Cui Receives Croucher Innovation Award 2016

Dr. Heming Cui receives a Croucher Innovation Award, which is granted only to a small number of exceptionally talented scientists worldwide, in the amount of HK$ 5 million by the Croucher Foundation for research expenses to be used over five years at his discretion. The title of his application submitted for this award was "RepBox: Transparent State Machine Replication and its Applications".

The Croucher Innovation Awards are designed to enable recipients to pursue their own scientific, intellectual and professional inclinations, to advance their expertise, to engage in bold new work, and to contribute to the development of education and research in Hong Kong.

Dr. Cui joined the Department of Computer Science at HKU in January 2015, and his research interests include operating systems, programming languages, distributed systems, and cloud computing.
