Professor M. Tamer Özsu Delivers William Mong Distinguished Lecture
Professor M. Tamer Özsu, Professor of Computer Science and University Research Chair at the University of Waterloo, was invited to deliver the William Mong Distinguished Lecture in Engineering and Computer Science at The University of Hong Kong in December 2010.
Besides delivering his lecture which entitled “Internet-Scale Data Distribution: Some Research Problems”, Professor Özsu also met with faculties of the Department of Computer Science to exchange research ideas and explore possibilities on research collaborations.
Professor Özsu is a Fellow of ACM and the IEEE, and a member of Sigma Xi. He is the recipient of 2006 ACM SIGMOD Contributions Award, and the 2008 Distinguished Alumnus Award of the Ohio State University College of Engineering.
