SE final-year project receives a Certificate of Merit in the 7th IT Excellence Awards (Post Secondary)

The SE FYP, "HADES - Data Mining System" by Chan Ka Kei, Chan Lit Tin, Chau Po Wai, Shiu Ka Wai and Yip Yee Shing, receives a Certificate of Merit in the highly competitive and visible IT Excellence Awards event organized annually by the Hong Kong Computer Society.

HADES is a generic data mining tool used to mine data from diff e rent industry domains. Leveraging its diverse features of data collection, data cleaning, data selection, data mining, data transformation, data mining results reporrting and task scheduling, the sys tem can effectively streamline the whole data mining process. Its major functions include: Distributed Data Access and Multiple Data Sources, Customizable Data Transformation and Filtering, Scheduling.
