Information Sessions

Join us at the information sessions, and find out if the Master of Science in Computer Science Programme is the right fit for your career goals. Information Sessions include a programme overview and Q&A, plus the opportunity to talk informally with Programme Director and staff. Potential applicants are welcome.

Information sessions will be organized from January to April 2012 in Hong Kong, Shenzhen, Beijing and Shanghai. Details of these information sessions will be announced on our website and advertised in major local newspapers.

To help you make a decision, here is a summary of the facts and details you will need - programme schedule, programme fees and application deadlines.

Programme schedule

The MSc(CS) programme is offered in both part-time and full-time mode. Class commences in September, and runs throughout each year. Students attend classes usually on weekday evenings and Saturday afternoons. Each module consists of 25 to 30 contact hours. Some may have more if there are additional lab-based activities and tutorials. You may be prepared to spend approximately another 90 hours for class preparation, review and assignments.

Programme fees

The cost of the programme is comprehensive and includes tuition, free access to HKU Libraries and sports centre and the use of University Health Service. Parking costs are not included.

For students admitted in the academic year 2012-2013, the programme fees of the programme are: HK$87,600 (subject to final approval by the University).

To be considered, you must submit a complete application on the day of the deadline, including all online materials and mail-in materials. Late applications will only be considered subject to space availability.
