MSc(CS) Alumni Society

MSc(CS) Alumni Society was established in November 2011. The mission of the society is to enhance the relationship among the alumni of the Master of Science in Computer Science in The University of Hong Kong, thereby encouraging the excellence of the Department and its graduates. While maintaining excellent bonds among our members through a cascade of social events and technical talks, one of primary goals is to strengthen the interests and knowledge of our members and extend our sincere help to the academia and communities whenever and wherever possible. We wholeheartedly would like to invite anyone that has enrolled or graduated from MSc(CS) programme to join MSc(CS) Alumni Society.

Postgraduate Student Association (PGSA)

The Postgraduate Students Association PGSA (http://www.hku.hk/pgsa) is an organisation run by, and for, postgraduate students and was formed in late 1993. The Association aims to enhance postgraduate life at HKU by encouraging postgraduate to take an active interest in their welfare and in participating in academic and social events. It holds regular activities such as Sports Days, parties, group outings and trips, lectures of special interest to postgraduates and film shows. These activities aim to bring the postgraduate population closer together in extra-curricular social settings.

HKUCS Alumni Association

The HKU Computer Science Alumni Association (http://www.hkucs.org) was established by the graduates of the Department of Computer Science. The alumni aims to promote the relationship and better understanding amongst graduates, students, and staff members of the Department of Computer Science. They initiate and assist in the professional furtherance of its members. The Alumni Association membership is free. After joining the Alumni Association, a member can enjoy the free services include a mailbox and subscription to class mailing list.

MSc(ECom&IComp) Alumni Association

MSc(ECom&IComp) Alumni Association (http://www.meicom.hku.hk) was established ahead of its time on December 2000. The positioning of the Alumni Association will be to facilitate exchange among the alumni members to broaden each other’s knowledge and skills in a professional manner throughout the career, support current students studying the course to achieve excellence in education, initiate and develop members’ benefits to enhance value of the Association.

The Association is run by an active committee who organises talks, social events and a mentoring scheme for new students, who can also join as members even though they have not yet graduated.

Chinese Students and Scholars Association (CSSA)

Chinese Students and Scholars Association (http://www.hku.hk/cssa) is a scholar and student association that consists of people from Mainland China. It aims to promote communication between people from Mainland China and improve their quality of life.

The CSSA in the University of Hong Kong has been established for many years, with a committee running for social activities. All people from Mainland China become members of CSSA automatically.
