Call for Tutorial

APBC2007 will host a tutorial session. We invite you to consider holding a tutorial at APBC2007. Tutorial submission should focus on some selected topics from the field of bioinformatics. For examples:

• Motif Finding
• Recognition of Genes
• RNA Analysis
• Physical and Genetic Mapping
• Evolution and Phylogeny
• Protein Structure Analysis
• Microarray Design
• Transcriptome, Gene Expression
• Proteomics
• Pathways, Networks and Systems
• Ontologies
• Databases and Data Integration
• Text Mining
• Population Genetics/SNP/Haplotyping
• Comparative Genomics, Genome Rearrangements

Submission Guidelines

Tutorial submissions should contain:
1. The title
2. The presenters and their contact details
3. A half-page biographical data for each presenter
4. Motivation and aims for the tutorial
5. Targeted audience
6. Tutorial outline


Tutorial proposals should be sent to S.M. Yiu at smyiu@cs.hku.hk. The deadline for submission is 30 Sep, 2006 and the notification of acceptance/rejection will be sent by 20 Oct, 2006. All questions related to the APBC 2007 tutorial should be directed to S.M. Yiu at smyiu@cs.hku.hk.
